Jeroen Kooijmans (born 1967, Schijndel, The Netherlands) is a renowned artist and filmmaker whose work is at the intersection of art and cinema. With a passion for visual storytelling and a unique artistic vision, he has built a multifaceted career interweaving both visual art and film. Jeroen Kooijmans is known for his innovative approach to the medium, pushing boundaries and exploring new forms of expression. His work places a strong emphasis on the poetic layer, creating subtle and layered narratives that invite the viewer to reflect and introspect. 

His work has been exhibited internationally at prestigious institutions such as Tate Modern in London, PS1/MoMA and The New Museum in New York, Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, MIT List Visual Art Center in Boston, Total Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul, Image Forum in Tokyo, Lalit Kala Akademi Gallery in New Delhi, Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius, Centre D’art Santa Monica in Barcelona, and Nicolaj, Contemporary Art Center in Copenhagen. In the Netherlands, his work has been shown at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and the Centraal Museum in Utrecht, among others.

Jeroen Kooijmans won the NPS Culture Award in 1998 and participated in the prestigious studio program of PS1/MoMA in New York in 2001/2002, which had an important influence on his further artistic development. LOVE-22-LOVE is a gripping story of love and darkness. It is his first feature length film which marks his film debut.

Jeroen Kooijmans is married to artist Elspeth Diederix, they have 3 daughters and live and work in Amsterdam.
